I had the opportunity to photograph Alice in Chains frontman, William Duvall, today. Duvall came up through Atlanta’s punk scene in the 80′s and shared so many amazing stories with us. There was the time that Jello Biafra of The Dead Kennedy’s fame acted as Duvall’s custodian so that he could attend the DK show that night at the 688 because he was underage. Old School Atlanta natives know the club I’m speaking of.
It’s cool getting to photograph personalties but it’s even better to hear the stories. I’m always drawn to the story.
The original assignment was to photograph him on white for Guitar Edge magazine. I knocked that out and then shot for my 365.
Cheers,
Zack
