Day 25 :: Flying The Silk

OMG. OMG. OMG. I had such a fun time today. I can’t even begin to go into it. Schoolgirl squeals.

So… I’m laying on the floor shooting when I decide I need the 12×12′ silk moved. I’m laying on my back as Dan and Dave roll the silk to the new position. I lift my camera and click today’s 365 photo. I mean, it isn’t the photo of the day but I’m not ready to release the photo of the day just yet. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with my favorite shot of the day but I bet I’m going to make a big print of it.

BIG HUGE thanks to the whole crew who worked their asses off today.  Two more days to go!

How it was shot :: Canon 5dMkII, laying on my back, pointing the camera up, firing an Alienbee 800.  (The stands and silks are expensive to buy but cheap to rent! Keep that in mind when you need some bigger gear. I’m renting more these days.)

Cheers,
Zack

I love the contrast in this one. The silk really suggests movement and echos the shape of chandelier. Nice!

I am disappointed that given your new found love of audio recording, your schoolgirlish squeals were not sampled and then laid on top of a nice Meg piano bed.

I see a ghost in the inner ring at the top in the middle. Is that a reflection or just my imagination?
