Day 50 :: One Shot Wonder… Ok, Make That Two.

My plan tonight was to shoot some water in the air and do it in one shot. I say “plan” but you may notice a new category… “Oh crap! What am I going to shoot tonight?” :)

Throwing water from a mixing bowl is more challenging that one would think. Here is the aftermath of the first throw…

I have the greatest wife in the world. I really, really, really do. Sorry other wives, Meg trumped you all in her dedication tonight. It is February you know. :)

How it was shot :: Canon 580ex on a stand at 1/2 power at camera left. No modifier. Zone focused to the basic area where I thought the water would be. Shot in the front yard at 10:30pm so ambient light wasn’t part of the equation at all. Super dedicated wife on camera right willing to go back inside to fill up the bowl of water try again.

    The coolest part – I immediately saw Megan’s profile in the water with the upper arc being her hair – even before I knew she was involved. You truly are his muse, Meg! Enjoy your weekend with your family.
