First… PhotoCamp Utah was an amazing experience. There were over 300 people in attendance and there were 400 people on the waiting list for the event. The cost for attending? $15. Such a great event. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it. You can find some of the classes, panels, and speeches on their uStream channel.
After the event a number of us went to dinner. The first place we hit up was the local Olive Garden. It was a two hour wait for a table. Reason being… Prom night.
So this group of kids were loading up into a massive truck and I was thinking… “Oh, if I only had my camera out right now.” It was such a great sight to see all these folks dressed up and ready for prom night and there’s my camera in the trunk of my rental car. Turns out, they were only sitting in the truck waiting for their buzzer to go off to let them know their table was ready. Out they come and I run to my car and grab my camera. They were an awesome group of kids willing to form up in front of the truck for a quick photo.
Cheers,
Zack

The best part was that you were happy to take their picture with one of the girl’s little point and shoots. It’s great how you caught the Olive Garden without the mob in front too. Thanks for taking part in PCU2010.
i love how you point the cursor on the image and your copyright pops up. love it.
Great photo. It was awesome to meet you and also talk a little afterward at dinner. The prom group was a great bonus – it worked out well. Thanks for being part of our community!
Watching you and Ann react to that situation was a truly funny experience. It would have been fun to have spent more time with the kids, getting their photos taken with the famous rock and roll photographer Zach Arias.
Hey Holmes, thanks for being part of Photocamp Utah.
Zack, I am glad you were able to have a great time out here in utah. It was great to learn from you and work with you at the same time. Looks like you shot at my brothers work :) Thank you again for everything
Thank you! I don’t want to be overly dramatic or sentimental but your keynote speech touched me in a million ways that have nothing to do with photography. It was a pure joy to be in attendance and I send home with you love and appreciation to your family for sharing you with us this weekend. I hope next time you visit our fair state you bring them all with you! We try to be very family friendly. :)
Thanks again!!!!!
Zack, the video of your dissertation at the Utah expo was awesome! I’m glad they shared this video.

loving your 365, zack. wednesday night i finished watching your presentation form photocamp utah about 11:30, which was fantastic. i had one pic in my camera from the day and it sucked. i had considered posting it, but after watching you, i was inspired to get off my ass and (quickly) get something else for the day. not that it’s great, but it’s better than what i had. thanks for the much needed inspiration.
