When I started this project a lot of people asked me how I was going to keep up with my regular schedule and do a 365. I thought I could do it… got three months into it and I started to regret my decision to start this. I was forcing myself to shoot. The pleasure was quickly leaving. I’ve had a number of obligations for family and clients and the 365 had to wait until the end of the day… then I was just shooting crap just to have something to shoot. I don’t want to shoot crap. I want to spend time on my photography.

David Hobby said it would own me by June… He was off a few months. I’m glad he had more faith in me than what I could deliver.

For those of you who have completed a 365… I bow to your greatness.

I pull up to the house after a shoot today to find the big boys running around in the yard. I didn’t have to ask them to change anything. Just stand together. Joshua (middle) sums it up best. “Huh?” :)

Yesterday, Saturday the 28th, Day 87… I didn’t take a photo. I’ve evidently screwed up my rotator cuff on the left side. Hurts like hell. Sat around all day yesterday doing a whole lot of nothing.

Stopped at a little country cookin’ bbq joint on the way home from Orlando. Got to witness an awesome father and son moment as dad read a comic book to his boy. I miss my boys. Glad to be heading home.

I was honored to be invited to the PeachPit authors dinner at PhotoShop World. They had some tasty drinks on hand.

Ok, so you say cosmos aren’t manly. How’s this for manly… “I’ll have some juice please…. but can  you add some vodka to that? Thanks.”  See? Manly. It’s not like I watch Sex in the City or something. I hate that show about those three hookers and their mom. :)

First… PhotoCamp Utah was an amazing experience. There were over 300 people in attendance and there were 400 people on the waiting list for the event. The cost for attending? $15. Such a great event. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it. You can find some of the classes, panels, and speeches on their uStream channel.

After the event a number of us went to dinner. The first place we hit up was the local Olive Garden. It was a two hour wait for a table. Reason being… Prom night.

So this group of kids were loading up into a massive truck and I was thinking… “Oh, if I only had my camera out right now.” It was such a great sight to see all these folks dressed up and ready for prom night and there’s my camera in the trunk of my rental car. Turns out, they were only sitting in the truck waiting for their buzzer to go off to let them know their table was ready. Out they come and I run to my car and grab my camera. They were an awesome group of kids willing to form up in front of the truck for a quick photo.
